Fantasy novel ‘When the Moon Hatched’

The dragon creators never foresaw their beloved dragons ascending into the sky upon their demise—twisting into spheres just beyond the grasp of gravity, leaving the sky adorned with tombstones and moons.

Their descent was an unexpected turn of events.

Raeve, a esteemed Elding Blade in the rebellion faction Fíur du Ath, is tasked with the duty of executing orders without getting caught. However, her world is upended when a renowned bounty hunter, commissioned by The Crown, is assigned to capture an Ath member. Blood is shed, hearts are shattered, and Raeve becomes subject to the mercy of the Guild of Nobles—a faction of dual-beaded elementals aiming to exploit her for political purposes. Only death appears to be her path to freedom.

Crushed under the weight of mourning, Kaan Vaegor severed the head of a king and adorned himself with the melted crown. On an unwavering quest to soothe the persistent ache in his chest, his pursuit of a moonshard leads him into the depths of Gore's infamous prison. There, he stumbles upon something that shatters his perception of reality—a shackled miracle with eyes ablaze with rage and hands stained with blood.

The echoes of the past resonate louder than the Creators themselves, compelling Raeve to confront undeniable truths from a time that was once warmer and happier. Yet, beneath the surface of this melodic narrative lies a complexity that evades casual observation, and some truths are simply too toxic to ingest.
